Herbal Garden

Herbal garden has more than 250 species of medicinal plants and more than 1000 plants nearby Biodiversity hot spots are organized. The Herbal Garden is an integral part of the Dravyaguna Department, spanning an expansive area with over 200 species of medicinal plants.

This garden serves as an excellent platform for educating students on the cultivation and propagation of medicinal plants, providing hands-on learning experiences.

One of the primary objectives of the garden is to conserve rare, endangered, and threatened plant species, while also maintaining substitute species for medicinal use. In addition to medicinal plants, special attention is given to the cultivation of poisonous plants, as well as spices and aromatic plants, which are integral for both practical learning and teaching.

The plants grown in this garden are utilized by the hospital for various therapeutic purposes. Some of the key medicinal plants cultivated include Nimbuka, Nirgundi, Mandukaparni, Arka, Japa, Parnayavani, Bringaraja, Agnimantha, Amalaki, and many others.

This garden not only aids in preserving the diversity of medicinal flora but also plays a crucial role in research and educational development in the field of Ayurvedic medicine.
